Welcome to Shelton Bissell's Website |
|
Welcome to Shelton Bissell's website where you can listen to songs from his albums, and have a little taste of his beautiful saxophone artistry.
"For more than 50 years, since the age of 9, the alto sax has been my first... and longest love. I feel down deep in my heart that after everything else I've pursued in my life... this is what the Lord really put me here to do. Many people across the country have said that my soul speaks to them through the sax. I take heart in the words of one concert producer who said, '... it gets to the very soul of Gospel music.'"
" My first Gospel Sax album, "Hymns Of The Faith", launched a solo career which we are continuing to build with our new project, "Country Gospel Sax."
If you would be interested in having Shelton come play for your church, please contact him through his Contact Page, and let him know where you are. We would love to come worship our Lord in song with you!

Gospel Sax Concert with Sing-Along |
|
We've done it! We have added a whole new dimension and it has a strong impact on the performance. You know a "picture is always worth a thousand words" and with this setup each song has a sound track, plus a picture, plus words for the congregation to sing-along, plus my horn on top. The presentation employs a powerful new laptop computer and the SundayPlus audio/visual program. We bring a projector and screen but if the house already has them we can plug into their system. Just a reminder ... since we are not carrying a P.A. system we will always need to coordinate with the house audio/visual person.
We debuted the new system in 2007 and it has had tremendous reception. Over and over we hear comments like, "This is so powerful! You're definitely heading in the right direction. There is no doubt your work is truly anointed."
The key here is that it is no longer just me standing on stage and playing my horn along with the tracks from my projects. Now we project the words to every song on screen and encourage the congregation to sing along. Participation by the congregation enables everyone to receive such a blessing.
We would love to come share with your congregation. Please let us hear from you as soon as possible.
